Conclusion
So here it is in all its glory. The shortest Tusken Raider in Derbyshire (relaxing at home). I think it is safe to say that RLM's
first customer is one very happy chap - it's hard to tell when all he utters is guttural shrieks.
If I were to do it all again, which is a very real possibility, there are a few things I may do differently.
Overall the calico is too light, even when stained with tea. I did find some more suitable fabric but it was far too
expensive for this budget project. Some of the scales are not quite right: the muzzle is a bit short and the eye-pieces
are a bit long. Likewise, the tusks and head spikes are a little on the slim side. As I said, I would probably bind
the muzzle with leatherette and take some time to find a better colour. Having watched the films recently, the robe
is more of a bat-wing affair than the one I made. And I'll be having a rifle - no Gaffi stick melees for me.
Just because it got made during the course of events you can
download the RLM wallpaper [1280x1024].
If this has inspired you to make your own budget Tusken Raider, or you have anything else to say on the matter,
then feel free to get in touch.
